Some Stuff about me
Welcome to Strife Stuff, My name's Nick Strife and this website is full of my stuff. I'm 30 years old and I live in North East England with my partner Chris and 8 year old Daughter Arisa.Most of my spare time is spent gaming, favouring RPG's and survival games.
My other hobbies are anything and everything that includes creating things - drawing, painting, crafts, sewing, DIY - I just love to see my ideas come to life.
The Past
I spent a few years at Gateshead College and started completing projects for clients while I was studying, you can see some of my old freelance work by clicking here.Shortly after graduating I started work as a Front End Developer for True Potential LLP, an award winning FinTech company based in Newcastle. I worked with the .NET stack using VB MVC; and developed a custom front end framework for the company to use across multiple products.
The Present
I currently work as a Full stack developer for The Consultancy in Hartlepool, I work in a small team developing new features and improving existing processes for an application that provides end-to-end solutions for the fenestration industry built using Laravel and Vue.We utilise automated testing and deployment to ensure the product stays stable during constant improvements and feature additions. All features are built to be modular and offered on a subscription basis to allow clients to toggle features on and off as their needs change.
I developed the front end to be easily customisable, which allows many different clients to share the same back end system while the design is tailored to their brand.
